Hello there and thanks for visiting Carnivalista Lifestyle!  It’s your girl Esha here.  I’m excited to share Part 3 of my What I Know About You Series!  And this one if about settling and self love.

Get started by watching the video below.

Are you settling?

Perhaps you’re thinking you already have so much and feel guilty for desiring more.  You have more than those around you, you’re making more money than your parents did; how can you possibly desire more?

My own experience was very similar.  In my 20’s, a very sad time in my life, I was was very angry, generally dissatisfied and self love was low on my radar.  I just knew there had to be more but then I used to feel so guilty about desiring more and desiring something different.

By all accounts on the outside, I should have been happy.  Society does a really good job of sending us women messages that we should be happy as women with what we have.  We’re socialized to settle.  As I mentioned in the video, I’m very passionate about this socialization because I went through it personally.  And although it takes a lot of work to overcome, especially with social media now, it’s worth the effort!

Are you shrinking?

We’re also constantly sent messages of shrinking and cutting back to get what we really want.  We should scrimp and save to get the shoes or makeup – whatever we want – so we can “afford” it.  As Rachel Rodgers says in We Should All Be Millionaires, we’re taught the exact opposite of expanding of opening our minds to the possibilities of having more, for whatever reason we need.  In fact, we don’t NEED a reason at all to want MORE!

I say it’s never too late to ask for what you want, begin self love, make those changes and to become excited about your life.  I only started this path in my 20’s and 30’s.  Even if you’re older than 30, it’s never too late.

After 7 career changes and 5 businesses, I started a multiple 6-figure business in my 30’s.  My grandma got married to her true love for the first time in her 60’s.  If it’s possible for us, anything is possible for you!

How do you get started?

All you need to do is decide and set your firm intention.  This includes self love and declaring you want more!  I shy away from saying you want “better”, because that looks different for every woman.  “More” is whatever you really, really desire.

The Carnivalista Lifestyle is about this.  It’s about declaring you’re worthy and saying “I desire more”.
