Heeeeey!  Come on in.  If you want to change your life, read.  That has been my mantra for over 20 years.  So, in thinking about what the next Wassi Wendesday series would be, how could it not be Read like a Carnivalista?  And in week 1, I couldn’t NOT mention this book that’s had a very large impact on my life since reading it in my 20’s.

Watch to find out what book it is…

Why you should read In the Meantime:

  • Iyanla uses simple language and analogies to walk you through emotional stages.  She also gives you realistic steps you can take to change your life.
  • If you’re looking for a loving relationship or you would like to transform the relationship you’re currently in, this book is a step in the right direction!
  • The tips and advice provided can be applied to ANY relationship.

My biggest takeaway from In The Meantime and the impact it’s had on my life:

  • The biggest takeaway for me was taking accountability and responsibility for my actions.  It also taught me how to navigate this accountability within my existing relationships as well.
  • Instead of continuing to think, “This is everyone else’s fault except mine,” I started thinking, “What was my role in this situation?” – not in a blaming myself way, but with much more grace and kindness towards myself.
  • The impact this shift in thinking had on my life is immeasurable.  And it definitely has the potential to change your life as well!
